This delightful Holiday Cottage provides fresh and welcoming accommodation for up to four guests, offering a wonderful retreat for couples and friends exploring a stunning part of the Ribble Valley and Lancashire countryside.

A wonderful escape for keen walkers, nature lovers and cyclists, this cosy property lies at the southern tip of the Forest of Bowland, with miles of beautiful walks and trails for you to discover. A mile from the quiet hamlet of Dutton, the cottage is perfect for exploring the gorgeous Ribble Valley, with opportunities for golf, fishing and hiking. The ancient Roman town of Ribchester is just a couple of miles to the south, home to the Ribchester Roman Museum, Stydd Gardens and a fantastic choice of pubs and restaurants.

Entering this pretty, single-level cottage, you will find the relaxing open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Featuring a wood burner set in a large stone fireplace, the lounge makes an ideal space to watch a movie or curl up with a good book. Behind the lounge and beneath the skylights, the central dining area is perfect for sharing a fantastic family meal which you can cook in the fully equipped bespoke Neptune kitchen. At the end of the day, there are two sweet bedrooms to choose between, both of which can be made up as twins or king-size bedrooms and feature original wooden beams. The second bedroom, which can be reached via a short flight of five steps, also has its own en-suite shower room. The property is rounded off with a family bathroom.

Heading outside, the private south-facing garden is enclosed by a traditional stone wall and has plenty of patio furniture, providing a great spot for taking in the views across the valley. The garden overlooks the owner’s paddock where sheep graze and hens peck. The cottage has a number of environmentally sustainable features including heat pump warm air central heating and solar-powered hot water.
