Old Malton is a small picturesque village, a pretty Yorkshire market town, located on the north of the River Derwent on the historic boundary between the North and East Ridings of Yorkshire. There are two pubs in the village where you can stroll to easily or if you fancy a bit more choice, potter off into the town. There is a famous food festival, monthly food market, Malton Cookery School, traditional food shops and artisan producers. It also has a large number of independent shops. There are so many country walks to enjoy throughout the area or can head to Pickering where you can catch a North York Railway steam train which will take you through to the pretty seaside town of Whitby.

Step inside this warm and cosy cottage and feel instantly at home, head through to the lounge, a really cosy place with a wood burner and Smart TV, ideal to curl up and watch a movie. If reading a book in peaceful surroundings is what you are after then this is the perfect spot. Step up into the kitchen, superbly equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is also a useful utility area with a washing machine. Gather at the breakfast table for mealtimes or head out to the garden via the boot room and dine in truly peaceful surroundings. The garden is a real feature of the cottage, with a wooden summer house half way down the garden, a lovely quiet spot to read or enjoy your morning coffee. The garden is well stocked with shrubs and herbaceous borders and a little wildlife pond (children to be supervised at all times). With various spots to sit and while away the hours into the warm evenings and enjoy al fresco meals. The typical cottage-garden style planting provides a mix of fruit and flowers. It’s a true delight for those who enjoy a beautiful garden. It also has an external WC. There is roadside parking, subject to availability.
