Situated in the pretty Ribblesdale village of Stainforth, this lovely cottage is perfect for exploring the western fringes of the Yorkshire Dales and the beautiful Forest of Bowland (11 miles). The vibrant market town of Settle (2 miles) is home to a choice of great restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops, and hosts a regular Tuesday market. Just outside the town, you can catch a train on the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway, one of the most scenic routes in the country. Heading into the Yorkshire Dales, walkers can head to the famous three peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (4 miles), Ingleborough (16 miles) and Whernside (20 miles), or you could head to Malham Cove (6.5 miles) or Bolton Abbey (25 miles).
On entering this gorgeous reverse-level barn conversion, head up the bespoke oak and glass staircase to the first floor where you will find a light-filled spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling. The welcoming lounge is a lovely space for relaxing in, with plenty of comfortable seating, TV, DVD, an iPod dock and a living flame fire. There’s a charming dining area and the attractive kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. Exploring the ground floor, you will find three cosy bedrooms, all with oak flooring. There’s a king-size room, one double and a twin bedroom. There is also a family bathroom complete with bath, walk-in shower and WC. Please note, two steps lead down into the hall from the front door.
Outside, you will find a lovely mature garden leading down to the river. The stepping stones which give the property its name are just next to the building. You can relax on the patio at the end of the lawn which has furniture and a BBQ, allowing you to sit back and enjoy a meal while admiring the view.
