Country Holiday Cottage
A charming, stone holiday cottage at the foothills of the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park.

Nestled in the hills in Wooler sits a quaint two-bedroom cottage, which boasts fantastic views of the surrounding Cheviot hills and gorgeous countryside. Located at the edge of the Northumberland National Park, the cottage is ideal for walkers and cyclists. A 20-mile drive takes you to the beautiful, unspoilt beaches, and historic castles of Chillingham, Bamburgh and Alnwick, while the stunning Scottish Borders sit even closer; only a 15-mile drive for some breath-taking walks and views! A simple 13-mile drive takes you to Ford and Etal, which host a hive of must-see attractions including its very own castle, steam railway, and nature reserve.

When you are finished exploring for the day, head inside the cottage for maximum relaxation. At the entrance to the property there is a small, heated porch/boot room – perfect if the weather has got a bit chilly or you’ve ended up with muddy shoes from your adventures! The small kitchen/diner has seating for four guests and is equipped with everything you need to create a cosy mealtime experience, including a gas oven and hob, fridge and freezer, microwave and washing machine. Head into the lounge to enjoy the breath taking views over the rear garden and over the Cheviot Hills, and curl up in front of the gas fire and the TV. When sleep beckons, find the master bedroom on the first floor, with double bed, stunning views and small TV, or the smaller twin bedroom with its own period feature fireplace. Also included is a light and airy bathroom with electric shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, to the rear, there is a large enclosed garden with its own patio and BBQ area, as well as a vegetable plot maintained by a local gardener – guests are welcome to eat some of the produce. A garage for storage is provided. Dedicated parking for up to two cars is available at the rear of the property. One-well behaved dog is welcome.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
