This cosy cottage is set in a peaceful and quiet village location close to Ashbourne with the rolling hills of the peak district and is the perfect bolthole for a couple looking to celebrate any occasion.

A former Ostler’s residency, this charming cottage is located in the heart of one of the UK’s most breath-taking National Parks and offers guests a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Keen walkers will relish the excellent hiking routes across nearby Dovedale. For those who are looking for a touch of English elegance, then the nearby country houses of Chatsworth House, Tissington Hall and Kedleston Hall are just a short drive away as are the pretty towns and villages of Matlock Bath, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Buxton, all of which have a variety of shops and restaurants.

Head straight into the lounge which has a sofa, an armchair, a TV and wood burner, which means you can cosy up on those chilly evenings, read a book or watch your favourite TV show in comfort. There is an area off the lounge which is ideal for taking off your hiking boots and coat for drying by the fire. There is a dining table with seating for up to two guests should you wish to dine in or have breakfast before heading out to explore the area. Off the lounge there is a well equipped kitchen which boasts electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a TV. Upstairs there is the double bedroom and when you want to revitalise your senses there is an en-suite shower and WC.

There is an enclosed outdoor patio area with garden furniture so you can sit outside and relax. Why not enjoy a spot of al fresco dining. There is off-road parking for one car.
