This delightful thatched cottage has been thoughtfully designed with no attention to detail spared, making this a truly unforgettable holiday retreat in the heart of Somerset and the Exmoor National Park.

Ideally situated on the edge of the delightful Exmoor village of Roadwater and within walking distance to a post office/shop and a pub. Located in Exmoor National Park providing easy access to a vast choice of walks, cycle routes, fishing and birdwatching. Head to the coast and visit Watchet with its pretty harbour, or the coastal town of Minehead with its sandy beach. Step back in time and aboard a steam train; conveniently located two miles away in Washford village is the West Somerset Railway that takes you through the beautiful Somerset countryside. Further along the coast are the attractive villages of Porlock, Lynmouth and Lynton and Dunster, with its National Trust castle towering above it.

This characterful barn conversion has been lovingly refurbished and makes a perfect escape which has been even been featured on Escape to the Country. You are welcomed into the delightful accommodation through the front door where you will be greeted by the perfectly equipped kitchen/diner which has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, counter freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and washer/dryer, it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. Completing the downstairs accommodation is a super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, separate shower and WC, complete with bathrobes and slippers. Heading upstairs from the kitchen/diner is the lounge which has been built into the eaves of the property and boasts an apex ceiling and exposed beams. Settle in for a snug evening with a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV, or relax with your favourite book and let Alexa play your favourite soundtracks.

Outside, there is a small private seating area overlooking the garden, great for enjoying your morning coffee or a glass of wine under Exmoor’s star-filled skies. There is also a shared sloping lawned garden for guests to enjoy approached via steep steps, at the top of the garden there is a Pergola to sit and relax. There is also parking for one car available.
